Bio
Phyllis June Hamann, 89, of Lincoln passed away on May 18, 2024, on Hospice surrounded by her family. Phyllis was born on June 30, 1934, in Valparaiso, NE, to Conrad and Emma (Beranek) Heiser, being the youngest daughter in a loving family of 8 siblings. She married her husband Lauren T. Hamann on August 1, 1957. They had two sons: Gale on August 1, 1957, and David on January 4, 1960. Phyllis was a loving Mother who was a wonderful stay at home Mother to her family in her children's early years. Later, she worked as a receptionist for a dental practice and volunteered at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She reveled in having a great-granddaughter. Family members include her husband, Lauren; son David (Julie); daughter-in-law Patricia; grandsons Bryan, Andrew (Elke), Jacob (Chelse) and Luke; 1 great-granddaughter Ava; sisters Marilyn and Dorothy, and brother Glen; many relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her son Gale, sisters-Margaret, Lucille, Evelyn, and brother Harold. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday May 22, 2024, at Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 O St. Memorial in lieu of flowers to Faith Lutheran Church.
