Served in US Army Medical Corps during World War II - February 24, 1944 to May 29, 1946. Obituary from The Herald-Journal (Logan, UT) - Monday, December 30. 1974: Ole Bertrand (Bert) Peterson, 59, died suddenly Saturday in a Logan hospital after suffering a heart attack. Mr. Peterson was visiting with relatives in Logan for the holidays. He was a painter by occupation living in Long Beach, California. He was born March 4, 1915 in Lehi, a son of Ole Bertrand and Julia Lewis Peterson. A member of the LDS Church, he had served as president of the Elders' Quorum and as a ward clerk. At the time of his death he was serving as assistant executive secretary in the Long Beach 1st Ward. Mr. Peterson was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army. On September 18, 1946, he married Mina Schwartz Bradley in Salt Lake City. He is survived by his wife of Long Beach, a daughter, Mrs. LeRoy (Caroline) Jackson, Ogden, and a son, George Spencer Bradley, Huntington Beach, California. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and four sisters, Mrs. Earl (Agnes) Argyle, Bountiful; Mrs. Jack (Elaine) Horan, Kearns; Mrs. Richard (Joan) Meibos, Provo, and Mrs. Loa Alexander, Carson, California. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at noon in the Nelson Memorial Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Loan City Cemetery.
