Bio
Wilma Ruth Moss McGhee, age 87, of Grants Pass passed away on May 5, 2023, in her home with family. Mom was the only child of Louise and James Crouse. She was born on November 14, 1935, in Ashby, Nebraska, raised on cattle ranches, and graduated from high school in Eldon, Missouri, in 1953. In 1960 our family moved to Grants Pass from Tehachapi, California. Mom owned her farm for over 60 years and worked at the China Hut 32 years. Mom loved her farm, working, reading, playing cards (cribbage, pinochle), and penny slots. Mom dearly loved watching her children and grandchildren playing baseball and softball, from t-ball through college you could find her at the fields cheering everyone on. She was also an avid Seattle Mariners fan. Mom is survived by her children Louise Pizer, Sharon Corrigan, James Moss, John Moss, and Samantha Woolf (Lorne), all living in Grants Pass. Her big loves were her six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mom was preceded in death by her husband Arthur McGhee and beloved granddaughter Amanda Pizer. We would not have been able to bring Mom home without the support and kindness of Bristol Hospice. Mom loved her CNA Amber, who would calm her down and make her smile.
