Thurs., November 21, 1918 Indianola Herald Nicy Ruth Garrett, daughter of Wallace and Kathryn Garrett was born in Ogden, Utah, June 4, 1894, and died at her home near Spring Hill, Iowa, November 6, 1918, aged 24 years, 5 months and 2 days. [Date on stone is Nov 5, 1918.] She united with the Baptist church of Spring Hill 12 years ago and remained a member until the time of her death. Her sickness was of a short duration. During the time of her sickness she had all the care that loving hands could give, but to no avail and the death angel took her home. She was united in marriage to Louis Schuldt[Schultz], November 8, 1917. To this union was born one daughter, Kathryn Ruth, who passed away after a brief hour and will be laid to rest with its mother. Beside leaving a husband, son, mother, and one sister, she leaves a host of relatives and friends to mourn her loss. A precious one from us is gone, A voice is hushed and stilled A place is vacant in our home, Which never can be filled. # # # Thurs., November 14, 1918 Indianola Herald Spring Hill -- The community was shocked Wednesday to hear of the death of Mrs. Ruth Garrett Shuldt [Schultz] and her baby.
