David Monn{sic} Sr. b. 8 July 1766 d. circa 1807 the son of the original Conrad Mann{sic) Sr. and Ann Maria her maiden name has not been ascertained, wed Mary, daughter of Frederick Rock. Her burial location has not been established. Frederick Rock, of Washington township, left a will dated 8 September 1804, and recorded in Franklin County Will Book B. page 213, in which he bequeathed his wearing apparel to David Maun {sic} and a share to David Maun, {sic} Jr. David Monn Sr, {sic} as listed in the 1798 United States Direct Tax for Washington township Franklin County, as having paid taxes on three buildings. David Monn Sr. owned a total of one hundred acres of land, valued a two hundred dollars, located in what is now, Quincy township. David Monn Sr. and Mary (Rock) Monn had the following two issue: (First Child MARGARET MANN of David Monn Sr. and Mary Rock). Margaret Mann Foutz (1801-1896) - Find a Grave Memorial b. 11 December 1801, at Tomstown, Quincy township, Franklin County- d. 4 August 1896, at Pleasant Grove, Utah, wed at Greencastle, PA. on 22 July 1822, Jacob Foutz b. 20 November 1800, in Franklin County-d. 14 February 1848, at Salt Lake City, Utah, son of John and Elizabeth (Hinkle) Foutz, after the death of John Foutz she married Solomon Secrist. David Monn Jr. (1782-1869) - Find a Grave Memorial b. circa 1782-d. 8 June 1869, married Elizabeth McFerren b. 25 October 1811-d. 19 August 1893. This David Monn was by trade a shoemaker, and removed to Fulton County, PA. In their old age, David and Elizabeth lived with son Conrad, near Shady Grove in Antrim township, Franklin County, they both lie buried in Brown's Mill graveyard, near Kauffman's Station, Antrim township. They had seven children, viz.: 1. Polly Monn; 2. Nancy Monn; 3. Lydia Monn b. 25 January 1841-d. 9 January 1907 never married and lies buried in Brown's Mill graveyard, (Second Child) Elizabeth Monn b. 22 March 1789-d. 30 November 1880 married Lewis Berkheimer (Burkholder). (Third Child) Eve Monn b. 17 September 1792, Married John b. 17 December 1779, son of John and Katrina Heffner. they had two Children: Ezra, b. 9 February 1826, and Peter Heffner b. 16 March 1823, wed Margaret Donnelly and served in the Civil War. (Forth Child) Catharine Monn married John McFerren. (Fifth Child); Conrad Monn III (1795-1885) - Find a Grave Memorial b. 24 October 1795- d. 4 March 1885, in Antrim township, Franklin County, son of Conrad Jr. and Elizabeth lies buried with his wife Elizabeth, in the old Dunkard graveyard at Brown's Mill, Antrim township. They had five children: Rachael Monn b. 28 September 1823-d. 31 October 1863 married Samuel Helman. She predeceased her father, leaving five children: George Helman; Lizzie Helman, both of Franklin County; John Helman; Amanda Helman, Frances Helman, all then residing in the State of Kansas. Susan Monn b. 15 August 1825- d. 22 January 1899 never married. Catharine Monn b. 13 November 1852, married William Cleary and d. November 1919. Barbara Monn married Isaac W. Small. Mary Monn b. 28 November 1842-d. 26 June 1891 wed Samuel Miller, of Dixon Lee County, ILL. Conrad Maun (1844-1936) - Find a Grave Memorial b. 20 August 1844, in Quincy township-d. 20 September 1936, in Antrim township. He was thrice married and fathered twelve offspring. He married three wives lie buried in Brown's Mill graveyard, Antrim township. He married (first) Clara F. Unger b. 19 August 1853-d. 8 January, who bore him two children Harry E. Mohn b. 30 June 1872d. 22, 1941. He married Sallie M. Runkie and had four sons, all deceased, and Annie E. married 12 March 1896, William D. Leight. Conrad married (Second) Margaret Bell Smith b. 27 December 1852-d. 22 April 1892, the mother of eight children, Emma R. married Amos C. Noll in 1898; (2) Gertude Monn married William E. Cassner b. 1874- d. 1951.3. Lydia b. 27 August 1882- d. 9 August 1980 married Roy A. Unger b. 1881-1947. 4. Margie Viola Monn b. 20 April 1886- d. 2 January 1887. 5. Sarah Caroline died in infancy. 6. Mary Catharine Monn b. 5 January 1890- d. October 1882 married Warren S. Kennedy and had fourteen children. 7. Catharine Jane Monn wed Martin Wingert in 1911. 8. John Monn married Bertha Rider and dwelt in Baltimore, MD. Conrad Maun {sic} married (third) Kate b. 12 April 1853- d. 13 July 1940, daughter of William Hoover, of Rouzerville, Washington township. She was the mother of Conrad the III last two children: 1. Raymond Monn married 2. Viola May Miller, (3) Lydia b. 9 May 1901- d. 9 April 1907. (Sixth Child) Martha Monn b.4 Dec 1803-d 21 May 1871, wed Philip Wile b. 4 December 1809, a wagon-maker, of Mount Alto., and had at least six Children: (Seventh child) (Seventh Child) : Dorothy "Dolly" Monn Wile (1807-1899) - Find a Grave Memorial married 3 August 1834, Jacob Wile b. 15 October 1810- d. 7 February 1873 of Mount Alto, and had at least these two sons: Jacob Wile b. 24 October 1839-d. 9 January 1919 and Ezra Wile b. 8 September 1845- d. 2 March 1929. (Eighth Child: Joseph C. Conrad Monn (1813-1889) - Find a Grave Memorial b.19 December 1813-d. 19 February 1889, in Richland County, OH., married 1 March 1838, Hannah Truax d. in 1888 and had six know children, (1) Samuel Monn wed Mary Ann, daughter of John and Sarah (Henry) Brinner, of Richland County, OH., and had several offspring, namely: (1) Sarah R. Monn b. 18 May 1872-d. 24 February, who married Charles Brundydge and resided at Montpelier, OH.; (2.) John Monn b. 22 October 1873- d. 12 October 1961, who married Linnie Benjamin and resided at Osseo, Mich.; (3) Jennie C. Monn b. 5 September 1875-d. 31 March 1978, who married William Wesley Benjamin and resided at Allen, Mich.; (4) Clara Belle Monn b. 6 September 1879- d. 19 March 1962, who wed Edgar C. Mowrey and lived at Three Rivers, Mich.: (5) Ora Dell Monn b. 6 September 1879; twin of Clara Belle, who married (first) William Cole and (second) Milo Decker and resided in Flint, IND., and Bankers, MICH.; (6) Etta Elizabeth Monn b. 17 May 1882- d. 7 February 1943, who married James A, Galloway, of Ray IND., and had a son James K., who was killed in action during the Second World War; and (7.) William Monn 15 November 1877- d. 17 August 1958 wed Mary Ellen Benjamin. (Ninth Child): Jacob C. Monn (1816-1898) - Find a Grave Memorial b. 9 December 1816- d. 21 July 1898, married (first) on 9 May 1839, Catherine McFerren, and (second) Malinda b. 11 September 1817-d.24 May 1888, Fayetteville, PA., daughter of Peter and Mary Magdalene (Matthews) Harbaugh, of Tomstown PA. Jacob and Malinda both lie buried in Quincy Cemetery. Their issue: (1) Peter Monn, James Monn was living at Indianapolis, IND., in 1881. (3) Clara Monn married (first) Albert Stoner, who died in 1892, and (second) on 24 September 1896, Joseph Martin; (4) Lydia Ann Monn born 13 December 1851-d.5 September 1913 married Abraham B. Stoops. (5) Belle Monn. (Second Child DAVID MONN of David Monn Sr. and Mary Rock) David Monn Jr., b. 24 November 1812 d. 25 March 1891, (first) married to Charlotte Brown b. 25 May 1820-died 12 May 1840. Charlotte was buried in Snow Hill (Nunnery) graveyard. David Monn Jr. and his (second) wife Margaret Brook(s) (1829-circa 1884). David Jr. had at least two children to his first wife. David Monn IV., married 20 November 1839, to Charlotte Pope and had two daughters Sarah Monn b. 5 March 1840-d. 5 July 1919, who married George Decker (1830-1905 and had seven children, Hannah Decker, who married 23 August 1894 Charles Ephraim Young and had eight children; Mary Eve Young b. 7 June 1818d. 14 April 1892, wed 9 July 1838 Joseph Mentzer. Children of David Jr., and his (second wife Margaret Brooks: They are John Andrew Monn (1859-1934), Isabella Margaret Monn Gibbs (1863-1929), and Rebecca Jane Monn Boerner Burk (1867-1929).
