Amarillo Globe-News April 11, 2014-- Vickye Falkenbury-Cagle, 64, had her last heart beat and first step in eternity March 17, 2014 in Amarillo, Texas. Vickye's life began May 11, 1949 and grew up where she graduated high school in Denver City, Texas with her parents, who are reunited with their daughter, Jake and Ada Falkenbury. Beautiful, creative, thoughtful, stylish, adventurous, witty and onery. All descriptions most knew Vickye as. She loved life's escapades and hearing about other's lives. Laughing and making others laugh was her hobby. Vickye, commonly known as "Gigi", treasured her children, grand-children and their friends. She made the simplest things mean the most as remembered by unexpected visits to her kid's homes with candy, a knick-knack, a story and always a kiss. What will be missed are familiar statements like "Hang on, I'm about to try something" when running a red light or upon leaving from a visit saying "I love everybody in this house." For Gigi's children and grandchildren, there are not many places in their homes or in their lives they can look without seeing their mother and Gigi. Vickye is survived by sister, Amanda; brother Jeff ;a son; two daughters; eight grand-children. Memorial service to be held Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 10.30am in the LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Director's Chapel- 8310 S. Coulter, Amarillo, Texas.
