Wiley James Hudson, Jr. (September 08, 1910 ~ July 09, 1982) 8 September 1910 – 9 July 1982 *** Wiley Hudson GALENA, Kan. — Wiley James Hudson, Jr., 71, Trona, Calif., formerly of the Galena and Joplin, Mo., area, died at 6 a.m. Friday at his home after an extended illness. Mr. Hudson was born Sept. 8, 1910, in Joplin, and had lived in the state of California for the past 30 years, moving there from Galena. He was employed by Eagle-Picher Industries while in Galena and served as an operator at West End Chemical Plant operator during his California years. His wife, Nadine [Olive 'Naydene'] Martin Hudson, died in September 1941. He was a member of the Galena Assembly of God Church. Survivors include two sons, Joseph Hudson, Trona, and Charles Hudson, Eureka, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Edna Widden, Trona; three sisters, Mrs. Josie McGlocklin, Buena Park, Calif., Mrs. Nadine Owens, Newman, Calif., and Mrs. Nellie Lester, Denair, Calif., 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The Dr. John Eller will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jess Barrett, Bob Tremble, Dellos Neeley, Loren Chandler, Norman Buttram and Jack LaTurner.
