Barbara Jean Huffmeyer Watson, 80, of Richmond, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014, at her home. She was born July 15, 1934, in Temple, Texas and received her masters degree in Sports Administration from Eastern Kentucky University. Mrs. Watson was a homemaker, a retired office manager and a member of St. Mark Catholic Church of Richmond. She was preceded in death by her parents, Toby and Mary Olsvosky Dreitner. Survivors include her husband, C.B. "Buddy" Watson and one son, John C. Watson, both of Richmond; three daughters, Bernita J. Watson (Dennis Osborne) of Lexington, Carol Jean Watson and Maryann W. Stoker, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister, Patricia Hollas (Ernest) of Weimer, Texas; and Rita Tate Huffmeyer Jackson, the wife of her brother, John Huffmeyer, who preceded her in death. She also leaves two granddaughters, Emily Marie and Jessica Ann Stoker. Visitation for Mrs. Watson will be from 6 – 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home. Her funeral mass will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at St. Mark Catholic Church, Richmond. Fr. Paul Prabell and Fr. Jim Sichko will officiate. Pallbearers will be John C. Watson, Dennis Osborne, Perry Stocker, and Roger Whitehouse. Honorary bearers will be Dr. Eugene Bowling, Dr. John P. Gillespie, and Fr. Ron Kettler.
