Bio
Lamar Cooper, a native of Baldwin County and a resident of Robertsdale, died Saturday, May 17, 2008. He was 83. Cooper was a U.S. Army veteran, having served as a paratrooper in World War II. Survivors include his sister, Valerie Hinote of Robertsdale. A graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at New Cooper Cemetery in Robertsdale. The family suggests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements are being handled by Mack Funeral Home and Crematory in Robertsdale.
