Lucille, age 99, passed away on April 4th, 2024, at Westview Healthcare Center in Sheridan, Wyoming, surrounded by her family. Lucille was born August 27, 1924, in Broken Bow, Nebraska to Aloysius & Elizabeth Gunther. She came from a family of 11 brothers & 1 sister. When she was 24, Lucille met Jess Swick Jr at a country dance, and he became the love of her life. They were married on May 27, 1948, at the St Joseph Catholic Church. Then they moved to a small farm near Gates, Nebraska. They went on to have 8 children, James (Wanda), Thomas (Brenda), Charles (Debra), Anna (William), Sharon (Phil), Jess, William, and Chancy (Teresa); 13 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren and their extended families. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers & sisters. She is survived by all of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many extended families. Lucille enjoyed reading, embroidery, & cross-stitching gifts for her family & friends.
