Erma Lee Hurst Stillwell, 86, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2008 in a local hospital. She was born October 15, 1921 in Okemah, Oklahoma to William Lee and Elizabeth Martin Woodard. Mrs. Stillwell was an entrepreneur and had owned several businesses. She was a member of Tuloso-Midway Baptist Church, had been active in the American Business Women's Association, was involved in Cub and Boy Scouts when her boys were young and had been a hospital volunteer. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Joseph Lee Hurst and A. P. Stillwell; her brothers, Jack, Joe, William and Raymond Woodard; and her sister, Jessie Black. She is survived by her sons, Mike Hurst, Joe Hurst and Phil (Karen) Hurst all of Corpus Christi, Texas; her grandchildren, Jordan and Jaylaine Hurst; her sister, Mildred Yancy of Lovington, New Mexico; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation was held on May 20th in Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services were conducted on May 21st in Tuloso-Midway Baptist Church. Burial followed.
