Bio

Annie Lois Morgan, 73, of Houston, passed away after eight years with Alzheimer. She was born February 12, 1935 in Kerens, Texas to Clinton L. Holleman and Addie Goodwin Holleman. She married Perry Morgan Oct. 28, 1950. She and Perry lived in the North Channel area for 57 years where they raised their family. She worked for over 20 years as an LVN at the old Eastway General Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents and by sister, Leona Colvin and brothers, Thomas Holleman and Leroy Holleman and by a granddaughter, Jessica Ann Morgan. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Perry Morgan; by children, Jackie Jones & husband Johnny Wayne of Sheldon; Dink Morgan & wife Karen of Kerens, Texas; and Denese Jackson & husband Mike of Houston; by brothers and sisters, Betty Combs of Palestine, TX; Rita Allen of Kemp, TX; Glenda Perry of Kerens, TX; Donley Holleman of Denim Springs, Louisiana; and Jim Holleman of Gun Barrell, Texas; as well as by grandchildren, Tina, Bart, Tanya, B.J., Jennifer, Perry, Jamie, James and Addie; and great-grandchildren, Craig, Justin Wayne, Michael Perry, Desiree, Jason, Kendhal, Haden, Jordan, Eliott, Perry, Walker, and Mason. Services celebrating her life were held Monday, May 5, 2008 at Carter Funeral Chapel with Pastor Gary Combs officiating. She was laid to rest in San Jacinto Memorial Park under the direction of Carter Funeral Home. Pallbearers were B.J. Weaver, Perry Weaver, Steven Bryant, Roland Higgins, James Simmons and Gerald Gates.
