A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 6 at 10:30 am at Romans Revival Ministries, 211 E College, Burkburnett, Texas. Mike was born in Wichita Falls Texas on April 27, 1954 to George and Sybil Kruger. Mike was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a very forgiving person and never held anything over your head. Mike and his dad started Kruger Aluminum and Brass Foundry in 1970. He later purchased the business from his dad in 1998. He loved all of his customers and tried his best to produce top-of-the-line products for them. He poured his heart and soul into the business. Mike married his wife Deanna on June 25, 1976. His journey would begin. Mike and his father-in-law turned Mike's Mustang into a stock car which he loved fast cars. You could always find him at the stock car races. He got the ride of his life in the wee hours of the morning on November 24, 1980 as he helped deliver his daughter Amber in an ambulance. As his children grew older he loved attending his sons baseball games and always rooted the team on. He surprised his wife one day as he pulled up to the house in a motor-home and announced that he was going barbecue cooking. Mike, his wife and his dad did competition cooking for about five years. He won a lot of awards on this journey. He was named, Mr. Brisket King by the friends in the cooking world. He laid down this part of his life, but never quit loving it when his granddaughter Ashton started walking. He was granted the privilege of raising his granddaughters, Ashton and Kaitlyn. His kind heart always made sure that they always had kolaches and chocolate milk on Sunday mornings. He had a passion for cars. His wife watched carefully as he would wash and wax his cars on warm days. He loved taking his wife on dates in his Shelby or Corvette. He gave her the ride of her life. He loved being outside, no matter what the weather. He would get excited if they said a storm was coming. You could find him on the back porch in the pouring rain watching the lightning with a big smile on his face when he heard the thunder. His backyard was his time with God. He would show his appreciation by planting beautiful flowers. He loved rock 'n' roll music. He loved having jam sessions with his family around the kitchen table. He loved playing songs and making them guess the group and name the song. He loved everything from Peter Frampton to Linkin Park. He loved each and everyone of his family with a genuine love. He will be remembered by a fast car in the driveway, pulling weeds in his flower garden, while a brisket was smoking in the smoker.
