Bio

Lenore Strong Nagle Obituary 1929~2024 West Jordan, UT-Lenore Strong Nagle passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on March 16, 2024. She was born to Leon and Thurza Clark Strong on Oct. 17, 1929 in Alpine, Utah. She is preceded in death by her husband, LaMar Nagle, and her grandson Riley Nagle. She was a devoted mother of six - Jon Nagle (Rhonda), Julianne Nagle, Bret Nagle, Amy Nagle Jones (Anthony), Randy Nagle (Paula), and Kara Nagle (Al); she was the proud grandmother to 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Nori was humble, wise, and she lived a long life of value and service. She was a pole star to her children and their biggest fan at countless school productions and sporting events. She was a steadfast partner to her high school sweetheart, LaMar. Through their 70 years together, they were a solid team. Nori loved being a mom, but her favorite role was that of Grammy, or GiGi, as she was known to the youngest family members. The grandkids loved going to Grammy's house. Cherished gifts of all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the quilts and dolls that Grammy made for them. Nori served the Church as a teacher and relief society leader in the wards, and she spent 20 years playing the living history character Drusilla Hendricks at the Pioneer Museum at Temple Square. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. The problem with living to 94 is that a lot of Mom's friends have already gone ahead to the party. Aside from family members and some cherished 10th and 26th Ward friends, most of Mom's friends, her parents and siblings, her lifelong partner LaMar and their grandson Riley were already waiting for her. They're up there now, relaxing in the best camping spot - the one with lots of shade and a view of the Tetons. What a great homecoming celebration they're having now that the guest of honor has arrived! Funeral services will be held on March 30th at 10:30 AM at the Holladay 10th Ward meeting house, 4601 Chapel Street, Holladay, UT 84117. Viewings will be held at the ward on Friday March 29th from 6-8 PM and from 9-10 AM on Saturday before the service begins. Interment will be at the Alpine Cemetery in Alpine, UT.
