QUITMAN - Services for William Joseph "Candy Man" Casburn, 81, Quitman, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Lowe Funeral Home chapel, Quitman, with the Revs. Bobby Renfro and Justin Dancer. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Mineola. Mr. Casburn died May 7, 2008, in Quitman. He was born Jan. 15,1927, in Fort Worth. He served in the Army and retired as a precision bench mechanic from General Dynamics. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Quitman, a Mason for 57 years and a member of Flora Masonic Lodge in Quitman. Survivors include his wife, LaQueta Casburn, Quitman; sons, Terry Casburn, Yantis, and Chris Casburn, Quitman; daughter, Debra Bayless, Quitman; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Published in the Tyler Morning Telegraph on 5/8/2008.
