Annie Virginia "Ginnie" Foley Windham July 5, 1940 - March 12, 2024 Annie Virginia 'Ginnie' Foley Windham lived a fulfilling life, leaving behind a legacy of love and faith. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Virginia was born 07/05/1940 and went to be with her Lord and Savior 03/12/2024. She was greeted in heaven by all those who went before her. Virginia was a native and lifelong resident of the Elsanor community. She actively participated in various roles at Bethel Baptist Church since a very young age, including serving as a Sunday School Leader, Vacation Bible School leader and being part of the Hostess Committee. She also dedicated her time to leading the GA group and taking on other responsibilities within the church. She spread joy and togetherness by creating delectable wedding and birthday cakes for countless families, fostering a sense of community through her culinary talents. Virginia is preceded in death by her father William Hillary Foley, mother Viola Belle Cooper Foley, husband Carl T. Windham, son Carl David Windham, daughter Hilary Windham Moore, brothers William 'Bud' Foley, Wash Foley, and Joe Foley, sisters Hazel Foley Stewart Linton, Creasy Foley White, and Thelma Foley Wilsey Middleton. She is survived by two children, son-in-law, sister-in-law, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mrs. Windham's life will be held Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at the Bethel Baptist Church. The family will begin receiving friends at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Virginia or to METAvivor, an organization she deeply cared for.
