Margaret A. Urbanek age 89 of Taylor, Texas was called to her eternal blessings and joy on Sunday Morning March 23, 2025 from the Will-O-Bell Nursing Facility in Bartlett Texas. Margaret "Margie" was born to Vincent S Urbanek and Maria Katherine "Mary" K Havelka in the Noack Community near Taylor, Texas on 29 August 1935. Margie had been a member of St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church for her whole life and and served with the Catholic Daughters and other groups. She also worked for SPJST Rest Home in Taylor, Texas for many years assisting staff and residents with her gentle spirit. Margie is fondly remembered by her nephews and nieces for enjoying playing dominoes and games, eating kolaches, and her beautiful sewing. She also loved to draw and prepare artwork. We loved her divine "Orange Fluff Jello" dessert that she prepared and brought to special occasions and holiday feasts. She assisted her sewing buddy, MoMo, on designing and sewing many quilts. Even though she had a severe hearing impediment, she was a very good reader and often wrote letters to her family and friends detailing the bright spots from the Taylor area. She was cheerful and self-sufficient lady. She is recognized as being a generous humble servant and she touched everyone with her kindness and gentleness to her family and friends. Margie's loved ones include her sister-in-law Mary L Urbanek; nephews and niece: Charles T and Mary Lou Flink, James and Kathy Urbanek, Cecil and Tena Woods; grand nephews and grand nieces JenniferFlink, James and Danielle Flink and daughter Elsie, Sean and Carla O'Tormey, Jacoby Woods, Sam and Kristin Brown with son Bowen, Branson and Kayla Redding, Timothy Urbanek and many other cousins. She is preceded in death and welcomed by her parents, sister Elsie Flink, brother-in-law Charles G Flink, and brother Tim Urbanek. Graveside service will be held at the Saint Mary of the Assumption Catholic Cemetery on Wednesday March 26, 2025 at 11AM. (obit courtesy contributor Joe Eckols ) EDITED
