Daniel Frank Polasek, 87, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015, at the V.A. Hospice Care Center in Temple. Don was born in Taylor, the only son of Frank and Antonio Polasek. He was preceded in death by his son James Darrell Polasek and his parents. Survivors are his wife of 61 years, Betty Ann "Carlson" Polasek; son Kenneth Ray Polasek of Granger, daughter Sharon L. Brewster and husband John, and one grandson Ethan Daniel Brewster, all of Georgia; and many cousins whom he cared for very much. Dan retired from T.P. and L. in 1985 after 36 years with the company. He also served in the United States Navy. He loved his job and his family. Graveside services will be held Thursday, Sept. 17, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Taylor
