Bio
Jeanette Marie Zurek, age 71, of Wallis, TX, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024, after a 3-year battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Jeanette was born September 13, 1952 to William and Irene Svoboda. She was raised in Wallis, moved to Pecos, and back to Wallis to finish high school where she met and married Lawrence Zurek. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. She was a member of Guardian Angel, KJZT, and Catholic Daughters. Jeanette is survived by her mother, Irene Svoboda; child, Rebecca Copeland, and husband Brett; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Zoey Copeland; stepchildren, Christopher Zurek and wife, Gina, Michael Zurek, David Zurek and wife, Cindy, and their families. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Zurek, and father, William Svoboda. Services will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Guardian Angel Catholic Church. A visitation with rosary will be held beginning at 9 am with the funeral service at 11 am and a reception to follow. Father Thuy Nguyen will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jeanette's life. Flowers may be sent to Guardian Angel Catholic Church and condolences to Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel.
