Raymond Hill Raymond Hill, 70, of American Fork, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1987 in American Fork. He was born Oct. 28, 1917 in Slocum, Texas, the son of Wade and Cora Hill. He married Marie Stubblefield June 19, 1958 in Webster, Texas. He was former Chief of Police and served, with the Texas City Police Department. He was an air conditioner mechanic and tire salesman with Pearson Tire in Provo. He was a veteran of World War II and member of the VFW Post 3261. Survivors include his wife of American Fork; two sons and three daughters: Reginald Hill, Van Nuys, Calif.; Melvin Hill, Anchorage, Alaska; Betty Ann Byrd, Freeport, Texas; Ruby Hill, Palestine, Texas; Cheryl Renee Hill, American Fork; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three brothers: Rev. Orrin Hill, Slocum, Texas; Calvin Hill, Houston, Texas; and Ozell Hill, Austin, Texas. Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 2, in the American Fork 13th Ward Chapel. Military rites were conducted by VFW District 4.
