Edwin Frank Marek Obituary Edwin Frank Marek, 91, of Cameron died Friday, February 23, 2024 in a Temple hospice house. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Seaton Brethren Church. Burial will be in the Seaton Brethren Cemetery. Family visitation will be Monday, February 26, 2024 from 5-7:00 pm at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home. Mr. Marek was born November 28, 1932 in East Bell County to Frank Robert and Dolphina (Jezek) Marek. He married Nelda Glaser and she preceded him in death in 2021. Mr. Marek retired from Alcoa after more than 38 years. He served in the U. S. Army and was a member of the Seaton Brethren Church. He was also preceded in death by a son, Edwin Marek, Jr in 2009 and by two brothers. He is survived by: Sons Donny Marek of Cameron Rodney Marek of Huntsville Dennis Marek of Buckholts Brother Marvin Marek of Temple Sisters Elsie Macek of Temple Dorothy Zaskoda of Rockdale Gladys Richards of Morgans Point Linda Winn of Virginia Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren Memorials may be made to the Seaton Brethren Church.
