Clement "Clem" Sliva Jr. of Columbus died Monday, February 26, 2024 in Omaha. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024 at St. Isidore Catholic Church. Visitation will be Saturday morning 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Immediately following the funeral, the family has invited everyone to St. Joseph Social Hall in Platte Center for a time of fellowship. Clement Sliva was born May 18, 1943 in a small farm house outside of Platte Center to Clemence and Frances (Vetick) Sliva Sr. He received his education at St. Joseph Grade School and graduated from Platte Center High School in 1961. He married Janie Cahill in 1964. They lived in Platte Center, Columbus and Amarillo, Texas before returning to Columbus. He worked at D-L and Lindsay Manufacturing until his retirement. He then worked part time at Menards. He enjoyed fishing trips to Minnesota, Oklahoma and Yankton. The family cabin at Duncan lakes was enjoyed by Clem with his family. Clem is survived by his wife Janie Sliva, sons: Ken Sliva, Mike (Erin) Sliva, grandchildren: Drew, Breckin, Brennen and Kellen siblings: Geraldine Dix, Tom (Doris) Sliva, sister-in-laws: Charlotte Sliva and Peggy (Paul) Jaworski He was preceded by his parents, son: Bob Sliva, siblings: Jerry Sliva, Bernie Paschetta, Dave Sliva
