Douglas Leon "Buddy" Thieleman Jan 1, 1936 - Feb 25, 2024 Douglas Leon "Buddy" Thieleman was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 1, 1936, to George Leon Thieleman and Evelyn J. Doering. He passed away on February 25, 2024, at the age of 88. Douglas was a graduate of Sam Houston High School; he and his best friend, Gene Russell decided to join the US Navy Seabee's upon graduation. He trained as an electrician and graduated with an honorable discharge. Sorry to say they did not get assigned to the same unit but have remained friends for all these years. He went on to make a career as an electrician and worked for Calhoun Electric Company for 38 years with his friend Norman Smoot. He loved to hunt and fish and very often got up the fellows for fishing trips. He was a dedicated worker and would always help who and when he could. Douglas is preceded in death by both his parents George Leon Thieleman and Evelyn Doering Stutts and brother, David. Survived by his loving wife Becky, Marty, four children and nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
