Aleyne Humble Pemberton, 87 of Temple died April 21, 2008 at a Temple nursing center. Services for Mrs. Pemberton will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday April 23, 2008 at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Ray Crow, Rev. Elwyn Johnston and Rev. Hubert Austin officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron. A family visitation will be from 1:30 PM until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Aleyne Humble Pemberton was born July 7, 1920 to Silas Heston Humble and Mary Angeline Humble in Cameron. She married E.M. Pemberton on January 25, 1939. He died in 1971. She worked for many years as a nurse and Laborotory Technician in Temple. She joined the First Baptist Church in Cameron at an early age. She was active in several Temple churches the last being the Bethel Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Pemberton is survived by sons, Gene and Stan Pemberton of Temple and daughter, Cheryl Mallory of Mineola as well as eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
