Bio
Ruby J Mercer of Shell Knob, Missouri, born July 8, 1940 in Wichita, Kansas, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022, in Branson, Missouri at the age of 81. Ruby was a member of the First Christian Church of Shell Knob. She and her husband Marvin were very active in their Shell Knob community and enjoyed living by the lake. She is survived by her stepson Paul Mercer, stepdaughter Marsha Mercer, nephews Mike Thompson and Tom Thompson, brothers-in-law Howard Mercer and Wayne Mercer. Ruby is preceded in death by her husband Marvin Mercer, stepson Thomas Mercer, sisters Opal Thompson, Bonnie Thompson, mother Orphy Gillen. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shell Knob Funeral Home. 2/25/2024 Ruby was a very integral part and leader of the VFW Post 2203 Auxiliary for several years. She is greatly missed.
