obit from online at Morning News of NOrthwest Arkansas : Morning News Oct 3, 2006 ROGERS -- Robert Donald Joyce, 89, of Rogers died Oct. 1, 2006. He was born Nov. 20, 1916, in Illinois. He enjoyed playing bridge and golf and was an avid gardener. He was a graduate of Purdue University. He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Marjorie Joyce of Rogers; one sister, Joanne Roberts of Sturgeon Bay, Wis. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Rogers with the Rev. Gordon Besel officiating. Burial will follow in Benton County Memorial Park at Rogers. Military honors will be conducted by Northwest Arkansas Honor Guard in Rogers. Visitation will be from 1 until service time Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund, 1101 W. Hudson Road, Rogers, 72756 or Gideon's International, P.O. Box 685, Greenwood, 72936.
