Bio

DeRidder--Funeral services for Rosa Lee J. Cooley, 84, of DeQuincy, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 31, in Hixson Funeral Home. The Rev. Clyde Cooley will officiate. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation begins at 3 p.m. today. Mrs. Cooley died at 7 a.m. Tuesday July 28, 1998, in a Sulphur care center. A native of Jasper, Texas, she lived most of her life in DeQuincy. Survivors include three sons, Nathan and Alvin Cooley, both of 4 DeQuincy, and Calvin Cooley of Sandy Hill; three daughters, Bobbie Amshoff of Tucson, Ariz. and Margie Thistrup and Carol Jean Ardoin, both of DeQuincy; 11 grandchildren; and 11 greatgrandchildren.
