Wanda Lynn Walton December 16, 1936 - February 19, 2024 McWhorter Funeral Home Graveside services for Wanda Lynn Walton, 87, of Longview, Texas, will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Glade Creek Cemetery with Drew Erickson officiating. Visitation will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, at McWhorter Funeral Home. Wanda was born December 16, 1936, to Lester E. and Wanda Christine Beavers Wilson in Gilmer, Texas, and passed from this life on February 19, 2024, in Longview, Texas. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Richard Doyle Walton; children, John Paul Cates (Gala), Teresa Erickson (Andy), Denise Day (Ron), Stepchildren Tracy Boyd, and Jason Walton (Melissa); sister, Leighann Harris (Earl); brother, Darrel Wilson (Sandy); grandchildren, Summer Cates, Drew Erickson, Chad Cates, Chase Cates, Aaron Erickson, Ally Davidson, and Alyssa Threadgill; several step-grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; Lester & Teen Wilson; and stepdaughter, Cathe Walton. Pallbearers will be Chad Cates, Chase Cates, and Aaron Erickson.
