Bio

Ethel Faye Baty Morgan was born in Sap Oak, TX, July 2, 1923, with her twin siser, Edna Mae Baty Evans. While they were babies, her parents lived in a tent city in Ranger during an oil boom time. Her mother managed to take care of twin girls under those circumstances without disposable diapers and no conveniences at all. I marvel at it. Although I heard the story many times when I was growing up, it was not until she was gone from this world that I thought that I should have asked more about it. Ethel never had any children. She lost 2 husbands to death. She enjoyed her third husband, James Morgan, and his grown children very much. His children put a ribbon on her casket that said "Special Mother". Her first husband, William "Dub" Johnson, died of heat stroke in Ohio. The second husband, Pug Wells, died of heart attack in his sleep. This written by her neice, Sharon Sue Evans Darwin.
