The Kansas City Times, Kansas City, MO, Friday, 25 Nov 1988, p. 89: DESMOND A GRIMM Desmond A. Grimm, 84, Grandview, died Nov 23 1988 in the Lee's Summit Nursing Center, 615 SW Oldham Parkway, Lee's Summit. He was born in St Joseph and lived in this area most of his life. Mr. Grimm was an inspector and agent for the Monumental Life Insurance Co. from 1927 to 1969. He was a member of the Red Bridge Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Lena Grimm of the home; a son George Grimm, Brownwood, Texas, a daughter Merilyn McQuerry, Tucson, Ariz., five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10 am Saturday at Floral Hills Cemetery.
