GORDON POSTMASTER PASSES AWAY HERE L. A. KNIGHT DIES AT HOME OF DAUGHTER AFTER ILLNESS OF SIX WEEKS L. A. Knight, age 67 years, postmater at Gordon, died at the home of his daughter Mrs. W. C. Doxsi, 1812 Twenty-first street, early this morning after an illness of about six weeks with paralysis. He was brought to Superior from Gordon some time ago to undergo treatment. The deceased was one of the proprietors of the Lawler and Knight store in Gordon and had been postmaster there for some time, being very will known throughout the county. He came to Douglas county about four years ago from Edgerton, Ohio. He was a member of the Masonic lodge and had visited the Superior chapter a number of times. Besides his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. W. C. Doxsie and Miss Urba of Superior, Mrs. Roy Lawler and Mrs. Elmer Terry of Gordon and four sons, Edwin and Lloyd of Omaha, Neb. George of Bemidji, Minn., and L. A. Jr. of Stockham, Neb. The remains which are in charge of Undertaker Downs, will be shipped tomorrow night to Edgerton, Ohio, where the funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon. Relatives will accopanying the body.
