Bio
Jackie Pearl Wallis Bonner, more fondly known as "Nana" passed away on January 17, 2024, at the age of 82. She was bon in Winnsboro, Texas, on March 31 1941, to F.O. "Son" Wallis and Katherine Thomas Wallis. Jackie graduated from Winnsboro High School and went on to graduate from Texarkana college with a degree in nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse in Winnsboro, Sulphur Springs, and Quitman, also working as Assitant Director of Nurses in Quitman. Jackie retired after 33 years but never stopped being the family nurse. Nana loved reading, watching westerns, and working in her garden. She always took great pride in the beautiful flowers, sweet fruits and delicious vegetables her garden produced over the years. More than anything though, she loved being a Nana and for that we will always love and remember her with joy in our hearts. Nana will forever be remembered by her children, Shirl Bonner and Phillip Bonner; grandchildren, Courtney Elston and husband Joshua, Ryan Bonner; 7 great-grandchildren; niece Mitzi as well as many oth extended family and friends. Jackie was welcomed into her heavenly home by those who preceded her in death including her parents and sister, Jo Ann Skelton. Obit From Beaty F. H. Mineola,TX.
