Shawn Pohlman Obituary A Celebration of Life for Shawn Michael Pohlman, 57 of rural Stanton, will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Stanton VFW. Shawn died at his home on September 27, 2023. He was born on June 29, 1966, in Norfolk, NE, the son of Ron and Gwen (Stuchlik) Pohlman. He was raised in Stanton and graduated from Stanton High School. Following his graduation, Shawn attended Northeast Community College before working for Doernemann Construction as a heavy equipment operator. On July 30, 1993, Shawn married Angi Arend in Leigh, Nebraska. Three children were born to that union. They were later divorced. He was later employed by the State of Nebraska working out of Humphrey and Clarkson. After which, Shawn was employed by Stanton County. Shawn enjoyed being outdoors in his garden, mowing, attending tractor or car races and playing video poker. He was fond of his 3 donkeys and his dog. His greatest pride were his 3 children. Shawn is survived by his children: son, Dylan Pohlman, of Beatrice, and grandson, Bennett, son, Jordan (Brooke) Pohlman, of Lincoln, and daughter, Karlee (Garrett) Hamilton, of Lincoln; his mother, Gwen, of Stanton; two stepchildren: Shayne (Brittany) Roberts, of Beatrice and Caleb (Kendra) Roberts, of St. Edward, NE; 6 step grandchildren; his siblings: Shantelle Pohlman, of Omaha, Shad (Amy) Pohlman, of Stanton, Seth (Monica) Pohlman, of Stanton, Shane (Gabriel Estrada) of Omaha, and Shaelynne (Kristen) Pohlman, of Des Moines, IA; and five nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ron.
