Bio

Marvin D. "Marv" Steinbach, 84 years, of Morse Bluff, NE passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont, NE. Marv was born in a farmhouse east of North Bend on March 2, 1939, to James and Lillian (Masek) Steinbach. He worked jobs across Nebraska and North Dakota, finally settling in Omaha. Marv and Yvonne Tesar married in 1964, the same year he founded Marv's Tree Service Omaha. He built his business with one chainsaw, a truck, grit and determination. His children grew up in the business and continue in some capacity today, as do several of his grandchildren. In 2005, Marv and Yvonne built their dream home on his Morse Bluff childhood farm. Then he started Marv's Tree Service West, which he operated until the autumn of 2023. Marv is survived by his wife, Yvonne; four children; Laura Fletcher, Mike (Maleka), Trish (Ben) Glass, and Ken; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, niece, and nephews. Marv is preceded by his parents, three brothers, one sister, one sister-in-law, and one grandson. Funeral Service will be 11 A.M., Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at St. George Catholic Church in Morse Bluff, NE. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at church. Burial will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery near Morse Bluff.
