Bio

Douglas Wert, 76, of Loveland, passed away on January 10,2024 after a battle with lung cancer. Doug was born on September 22, 1947 to Dwayne and Joy Wert in Grand Island, Nebraska. Doug met the love of life, Ruth Ruzicka, when they were freshmen in high school in 1961. After high school, they married on August 1, 1965 and had two beautiful children, Michael and Kelly Jo. Doug is survived by his beautiful wife of fifty-eight years, Ruth, his son Michael (Tina) Wert, daughter Kelly Jo (Charlie) Ross, four grandsons, one granddaughter and one great grandson.
