Arthur Lee "Ott or Art" Rucker (June 1, 1936 – January 6, 2024) Arthur Lee "Ott" Rucker, a loving husband and father, and an avid sports fan, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024, after a battle with cancer. He was 87. Arthur Rucker was born on Monday, June 1, 1936, in Celina, Texas to Lee Roy Rucker and Julia Irene Phillips Rucker. Arthur remained a lifelong citizen of the Celina community throughout his entire life. He was a member of First Celina Baptist Church. Arthur was a graduate of Celina High School class of 1954, and was the quarterback for the Celina Bobcat football team. His pride and spirit for the team became a lifelong passion. He seldom missed a game and attended many practices. He was a member of the Celina Quarterback Club. Art began his working career with LTV Aerospace. He retired as a Project Manager in Production Operations for its successor company Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control after 38 years. Arthur was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Wayne Rucker (June 3, 1959 - November 27, 2006); his parents, Lee Roy Rucker (in 1997) and Julia Irene Phillips Rucker (in 2005); his in-laws, Odis Edgar Bratcher (in 1998) and Irene Rogers Bratcher (in 2003); his brother, Jimmy Ray Rucker (in 2018); and brother-in-law, Ray O'Dell Pinion (in 2014). On Saturday, September 30, 1961, he married his wife Carole Jean Bratcher Rucker who survives him. He is also survived by daughter Kimberly Alexander (Guillermo); grandson Andrew Alexander; granddaughter Suzanna Alexander Granados (Mauricio); great-grandson Mauricio Jose Granados; sister Lynell Pinion; brother-in-law Mike Bratcher (Maura); nephews -- Byron Pinion and Cristopher Bratcher; nieces -- Robyn Bercaw, Claire Bratcher Anderson, Kayla Murray, and Kelsy Bratcher; and many cousins and other relatives. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. noon at the Celina Athletic Complex banquet room (3455 N. Preston Road, Celina, Texas 75009). A private burial will be held at a later date at the Cottage Hill Cemetery, in Celina, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Celina Athletic Department, 3455 N. Preston Road, Celina, Texas 75009. Make checks payable to: Celina Quarterback Club. Visitation: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. noon on January 13, 2024, at the Celina Athletic Complex (3455 N.
