Obituary Gonzales Inquirer Nov. 21, 1985 Funeral services were held Monday, November 18, at 2 p.m. from the St. James Catholic Church for Agnes Sitka, resident at Green DeWitt Village, who died at 7 p.m. November 15 in the Care Inn Nursing Home. The Rev. James Kotara, pastor, officiated at the rites with burial in the St. James cemetery. A rosary service was held at Buffington Funeral Home at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Sitka was born September 8, 1907 in Gonzales,the daughter of Paul and Rosa Lee Kalinec Garvel. She was married to Joe Sitka in 1924, and he died on November 23, 1967. She was a life member of the Dt. James Catholic Church and a member of the Altar Society.
