Lilla Marr Weber DECEMBER 7, 1924 – DECEMBER 23, 2023 Lilla Marr Weber was born on December 6, 1948 to T.W. and Mary Grubbs in Crandall, TX. She was the seventh of ten children although two died at birth. She passed away at home on December 23, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, adoring husband "Buddy" and son John Scott. Also preceding her were all of her siblings and their spouses, one nephew and three nieces. Lilla graduated from North Texas State University with a degree In business but later went back to college to get her teaching certificate. On September 3, 1948 she married Loyd Weber in Ft. Worth TX and they were blessed with 71 years together. Their first son John Scott was born in 1953 and the second Kenneth Edward was born in 1955. Lilla was a devoted stay at home mother until the boys were both in school. By this time the family had moved to Houston. At that time she got her teaching certification and started teaching first grade at Post Elementary in the Cy-Fair school district. In later years she was a team leader for first grade. She was at Post Elementary until her retirement. She and Buddy enjoyed extensive travel mostly on cruises and were often accompanied by family members. They were the epitome of best friends, soulmates and spouses. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. Lilla is survived by her son Kenneth Edward and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Services will be Friday, January 5 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home at 13001 Katy Freeway. Visitation will be at 1:00 followed by the service at 2:00. Memorial Oaks Funeral Home
