Bio

Lindell J. Fries, 72 of North Platte crossed the finish line with the checkered flag waving on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Williamsburg United Methodist Church near Elm Creek with Pastor Roger Fries officiating. Those attending are encouraged to wear casual attire. Inurnment will follow at Williamsburg Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for future designation to Williamsburg Cemetery or to Boy's Town Research Hospital Audiology Department. Condolences may be shared online at www.osrfh.com. Services are entrusted to O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral and Cremation Services. Lindell James Fries, the 6th child of Wayne and Alpha (Guthrie) Fries was born January 27, 1951 in Holdrege, Nebraska. He was raised in Elm Creek and attended Elm Creek High School, graduating with the class of 1970. On September 17, 1971, Lindell was united in marriage to Beth Marshall. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Beth Fries of North Platte, NE; sons, Kevin (Dana) Fries, Brandon (Leslie) Fries and Brett (Keisha) Fries; grandchildren, Grayson, Reagan, Londyn, Brooklyn and Kellen Fries and Stevie Young; sisters, Beverly (Randy) Scott, Joyce (Bob) Hibberd, and Marilyn Fries; brothers, Roger (Martha) Fries and Doug Fries; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
