Bio

Bob Bennett, 80, of Alpine, passed away April 21, 2008 in American Fork. He was born Dec 13, 1927 in Alpine to Mark Harrison and Sarah Gertrude Healey Bennett. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Bob married his sweetheart Ethel Elizabeth Cardwell Aug 14, 1950 in the Manti Temple and they raised seven children. He retired from Geneva Steel. Bob was an active scouter as a scout master and received his Silver Beaver. Bob and Ethel served an LDS Temple Mission to the Chicago and Washington DC Temples. Bob loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. Survived by his children, Connielyn (Kerry) Perkins; Lynn Dale Bennett; Jay R. (Kimberlee) Bennett; Neal Monte (Carolyn) Bennett; Becky (Reed) Butler; Aaron Cardwell Bennett; Barry Dee Bennett; 17 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, 6 sisters and 1 brother. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 25, 2008 at 11 am in the Mountainville LDS Chapel, 165 North 100 East, Apine, Utah. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E 100 N, American Fork and Friday at the Church from 10:00 to 10:45 prior to the Services.
