Bio

Billie Joyce Scott, 82, of Paris, passed away Friday, Dec. 8, 2023, at Paris Regional Health. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Wade White officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 5 – 7 p.m. Mrs. Scott, the daughter of Loy Robnett & Mildred Estelle Blundell Robnett, was born Oct. 2, 1941, in Delta County, Texas. She attended Delta County Schools and was a stay at home mom. Her husband, Billy Ed, worked for the Lamar Creamery and his job brought them to Paris. She was past-president of the Women's Fraternal Order of Eagles and past-president and board member of Wish for a Child which was a labor of love to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Loyce Ihrer, a granddaughter, Tera Sony, and a great granddaughter, Camila Cortes. Survivors include her husband, William E. "Billy Ed" Scott, Sr., four children, Joyce Middleton & husband Mike, Carol Farmer & husband Doug, William Scott, Jr. & Durynda, and Bradley Scott & husband Kevin Hinson, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and a brother, Jerry Robnett & wife Faye along with numerous nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
