Bio

Jesse David West, of Bellefonte, Arkansas, passed away at Creekside at the Springs in Yellville, Arkansas on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at the age of 65. The son of William Cole West and Thelma Prudence (Dees) West was born January 16, 1958, in Clovis, New Mexico. He lived in Boone County most of his life and graduated from Valley Springs High School in 1976. He was a member of Bellefonte Church of Christ. David was an experienced block and brick mason; and spent several years working in oil fields and construction. He loved horses and rodeoing. He worked as a farrier and enjoyed team roping. He loved drinking coffee and hanging out at the coffee shop visiting with friends and neighbors. David was always laid back and easy-going. He was also the grapevine of the family, and kept his siblings, cousins, and even friends up to date on all the latest news and goings on. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.C. and Thelma West, a special aunt, Myrtle Cash; brother-in-law, Jim Pate; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. David is survived by his sisters, Sue Pate, Darlene (Terrel) Milks, Ruth (Bill) Reiss, and Myrtle (Dale) Randall; his brother, Buddy (Cathy) West; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends who loved him and will miss him. Memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, December 13 (2023) at Bellefonte Church of Christ with Ray Crawford officiating. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service beginning at 10 AM at the church. The family requests memorial donations to Bellefonte Church of Christ Missions Fund or the charity of your choice. Arrangements under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison.
