Hilda's Motto for her life was- I'll be Okay, I'll be Alright Hilda Harney died last Saturday at the age of 89 at Legacy House of Taylorsville. She was the daughter of Joseph and Lydia Proctor. Her journey in life never included driving a car or even a driver's license, but it did include raising four children, cross-stitching, crafts, camping with her children, serious Bingo games at the assisted living center where she lived, and time engaged with her grand and great-grandchildren, and many hours fishing, even though she wouldn't touch a worm. She married John William Harney on September 9, 1942 in Pueblo, Colorado. After her husband's death in 1984, Hilda's home away from home was volunteering at Murray Heritage Senior Citizen Center for 20 years, where she never missed a day and received much recognition. She was Utah State Volunteer of the Year in 1992. She is survived by her four children: Joseph Harney (DeAnna), Barbara Ernest (Robert), Sue Johnson (Helen K), and Thelma Myles (Ralph), 10 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Fri. April 25, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 So. 2200 W. where Friends may call two hours prior. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
