Catherine D.Grudzinski Obituary Born: February 15, 1954 in Sterling Died: November 30, 2023 in Dixon Catherine D. Grudzinski, 69 formerly of Watertown, WI and of this area, died Thursday November 30, 2023 at Heritage Square in Dixon. She was born on February 15, 1954 in Sterling the daughter of Nathaniel and Bobbie (Harris) Cox. She married George Grudzinski on December 13, 1997. He died February 1, 2017. Catherine had been a member of The Chapel in Watertown. She moved back to this area in 2020. Her church and her family were very important to her. Survivors include her daughter Dene (Matt) Janssen of Dixon; her foster daughter Kim (Joe) Peterson of Reedsburg, WI; her sons: Eric and Derek Halgren both of Dixon; her sisters: Carol (Fred) Matznick, Paula (John) Conklen, both of Sterling, Colleen Cox of Rock Falls and Julia (Nelson) Vasquez of Sterling; her brothers: Michael Cox of Coleta and Edwin (Donna) Cox of Elizabethtown, KY; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother Terry Cox and her son Brandon Leach. Visitation will be Tuesday December 5, 2023 from 9-11 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory in Rock Falls. The funeral will follow at 11 AM. Published by Sauk Valley News on Dec. 2, 2023.
