Danny Lynn Carson August 1, 1945 - November 30, 2023 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Danny Lynn Carson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished member of the Dallas community. Danny passed away peacefully in his home on the morning of November 30, 2023, surrounded by the love of his family and the warmth of his loyal wife, Mary Burns Carson. Born on August 1, 1945, in Dallas, Texas, Danny was the embodiment of strength, kindness, and unwavering love. Throughout his 78 years of life, he touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy is one of love, laughter, a steadfast commitment to family, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Danny is survived by his devoted wife, Mary, with whom he shared 25 years of marriage but a lifetime of joy, challenges, and unwavering companionship. Together, they built a life filled with love and created memories that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew them. He leaves behind a large and loving family, including five siblings: Linda Northcutt of Dallas, TX; Roger Northcutt of Hopkinsville, KY; Rita Northcutt Hiltgen of Carrollton, TX; and Todd Northcutt of Quinlan, TX. Danny is also survived by his children: Jeff Carson & wife Becky of Waco, TX; Tracy Carson of Rockwall, TX; Wendi Carson of Garland, TX; Karen Peterson & husband Kelly of Arlington, TX; Terry Jones & wife Linda of Raytown, MO. Danny is preceded in death by his parents, James Northcutt and Ruby Josephine Carson James, sister Rhonda Northcutt and his daughter, Denna Carson. While we mourn the loss of Danny, we take solace is knowing that he is reunited with loved ones who have gone before him, and that his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who continue to carry his legacy forward. Danny was not only a family man but also a pillar of strength within his community. His warm smile, compassionate spirit, and willingness to lend a helping hand touched the lives of many. Danny found great joy in the outdoors, and more often than not, you could find him on the golf course, reveling in the beauty of nature. He also cherished spending time with friends at the VFW & Post 81, shooting pool, and engaging in lively discussions about his passion for NASCAR. As we mourn the loss of Danny, let us also celebrate the remarkable life he lived. His legacy is one of love, resilience, and the enduring bonds of family. May his memory live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and may the lessons he imparted continue to inspire us all. A viewing service to honor, fellowshing and remember Danny Lynn Carson will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Jeter & Son Funeral Home (4830 W. Illinois Ave, Dallas, TX 75211) from 2-5pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude's or the American Lung Association, both causes were dear to Danny's heart. Rest in peace, dear Danny.
