Wife of Charles "Charlie" W Dowell Published in the Athens Review December 14, 1950 Rites are pending for Mrs. Lizzie Dowell, [83], who died at 2:30 Monday morning in a local hospital after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Dowell was born in Athens on June 27, [1867], but had lived the past several years with a daughter in Malakoff. She is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Robert Griffin, Mrs. Locky Smith and Mrs. John Murphy, all of Malakoff, and Mrs. W.C. Vieregge of Bynum. Also eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Contributor: Wayne Smith (47181024)
