Bio
Darlene Dufek, 54, of David City died Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, at Bryan LGH East in Lincoln. Darlene Vech was born May 27, 1949, in Morse Bluff. She graduated from Prague High School in 1967. She married Adolph "Butch" Dufek on Feb. 20, 1982, in David City. She was a certified nursing assistant for 28 years. She worked at Birchwood Manor in North Bend, Schuyler Nursing Center, St. Joseph's Villa and David Place in David City. She had lived in the David City area since 1983, having moved from the Schuyler area. Survivors include: her husband; two sons, Chris Dufek of Columbus and Anthony "Dufe" Dufek of David City; and a brother, Dennis (and wife, Elaine) Vech of Morse Bluff. No service or visitation will be held. The body was cremated. Roberts-Chermok Funeral Home in David City is in charge of arrangements.
