Christine Myers, 84, of Mansfield passed away Monday, October 30, 2023 at Avita Galion Hospital. Born September 12, 1939 in Coeburn, Virginia, she was the daughter of Emory and Irene (Stallard) Meade. She married James L. "Jim" Myers on September 9, 1982 and they enjoyed 41 years together. Christine retired after many years as a Deli manager from Foodtown in Crestline. She loved to work so upon retirement she spent her time volunteering at the Center Street Community Health Center in Marion. Christine enjoyed crocheting, hummingbirds, and especially loved spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Debbie (John) Balser of Kewadin, Michigan, Jenny Edwards of Mansfield, Audrey (Jeff Steingass) Heldberg of Holgate, Ohio, Cliff (Dan Dickman) Edwards of Mt. Gilead, G.Elizabeth (Scott) Huffman of Bryan, Ohio, Barbara (Jim) Feustel of Mansfield, and Lizette (Curtis) Sherer of Bucyrus; her step-children, Jim "JR" Myers, Jr., Jeffrey Myers, Jerrold Myers and Jennifer Myers all of Mansfield; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren and three sisters, Opal Bortz of Holgate, Ohio, Wilma (Kenneth) Hall of Ft. Myers, Florida and Ardna (Jim) Helberg of Delta, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marlene Holbrook and three brothers, Eston, Richard and Banner Meade. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2023 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 4th with Rev. Dan Dickman officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park in Ontario.
