From the Inside Bay Area website 11/10/22-04/15/2008 Resident of Oakland Born in Gonzales, CA, Irv passed away at home surrounded by loving family and friends. He is survived by 5 children, Carl T. Ramage (Sue) from Chandler, AZ, Les I. Ramage (Amelia) from Walnut Creek, CA, Sue M. Ramage (Sue) from Baxter Springs, KS, Kay Rogers from San Francisco, CA, and Jeff S. Ramage (Karen) from Snow Flake, AZ; 7 grandchildren, Michael, CT, Ryan, Nicole, Victoria, Tatiana, and Alexandria; 5 great-grandchildren, Thomas, Melissa, Jessie Jo, Zachary and Bobby Sue; one great-great-granddaughter, Camelia Rose; sister, Wilma Smith (Paul); brother, Wendell Ramage (Gloria) and BFF (Best Friend Forever), Alpha Fennefos. Irv served with the Merchant Marines and the SS Egg Harbor during WWII in the South Pacific delivering aviation fuel to Air Bases. Afterwards he worked as a printer for Moore's Business Forms in Emeryville and for many years for the San Francisco Chronicle and the Oakland Tribune. Irv was a long-standing member of the Assembly of God Church in the Bay Area. He will be laid to rest next to his wife, Juanita Ramage at the CHAPEL OF THE CHIMES MEMORIAL PARK AND FUNERAL HOME, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA. on Saturday, April 19, 2008; visitation at noon with Memorial Service at 2:00 pm.
