Son of Frank & Lillie (Puncochar) Psota. Married to: 1. Clara Usasz on 6-25-1941 at Spalding, NE. 2. Ava Houtby in 1988. He lived at Ericson from March 1938 until February 1957. Leonard developed a lake and stocked it with fish. Even though he charged admission, fishermen would come from a great distance to fish. He also had a welding shop and was an excellent blacksmith. Leonard used his abilities to make work simpler. He developed the first trailing mower which enabled one man to mow with two mowers at once, thus saving time and expense. Leonard then made a cable winch system to load whole hay stacks onto a low hayrack by using a cable around the stack and winching the stack onto the rack. After he took his first plane ride he was hooked. He loved flying and purchased his own plane. He flew the plane in the 1940s and 1950s. In 1949, when roads were impassable, Leonard flew his plane for the Red Cross. He flew supplies and feed to stranded farmers and their cattle. Leonard was always building things and made one of the first television towers when TV was first becoming popular.
